Managing project correspondence through a document management system sounds like a sensible approach. Until you realize that most project documents today are sent and received via email.
Project DocControl’s MS Outlook add-in enables you to seamlessly integrate your email system with your projects. When you receive project-related correspondence in Outlook, simply right-click on the email and choose the project it’s associated with. This automatically copies the email in that project’s correspondence log inside Project DocControl.
Similarly, you can easily create correspondence or other documents inside Project DocControl and have the system email those documents directly to the recipient. All emails are sent through Outlook. But there’s no need to switch back and forth between Project DocControl and Outlook.
